News: FERN, Audiotree, Ghost Caps
Bits and bops from the last few weeks...
Hej my friends,
I figured today might be a good moment to start sharing the occasional normal bit of news. The kind of stuff that can sometimes slip through the cracks.
As much as I enjoy using this space to think out loud about the spirit of the times and other meaningful topics, I also don’t want it to turn into a one-way inner monologue. So now and then, I’ll simply drop a few updates to keep you in the loop.

⚪️ FERN – New Music is Brewing
Right now, I’m in Bavaria on a little “createcation” surrounded by nature, good people, and space to reflect. I’ve been collecting ideas for the next FERN chapter for over a year now, and slowly, some of them are taking shape.
The musical direction feels both familiar and exciting and I’m exploring new facets and instrumentation that will add new textures to the sonic palette. It feels like the natural next step for FERN. 🤫 Here’s a couple of 10s excerpts:
No release date yet, but I’m confident there will be new music for you within the upcoming 12 months.
Until then: more exploration, more loops, and whatnot…
🎥 Audiotree Session – The Ocean “From Nothing”
Some of you may have already seen this on social media. But just in case, I’m sharing here what I already posted there:
It’s a bittersweet occasion to share this, but we finally released the Audiotree session this week. The one we recorded last summer after performing at Post Festival in Indianapolis and playing two full Pelagial album shows in Montreal and Chicago.
Big thanks to Austin Isaac for making this happen after years of patience. It’s often tricky to schedule something like this during a tour, and for years, the timing never worked out. But last year, it all aligned.
It was an honour to be invited and to document this particular (and somewhat final) version of the lineup.
I remember not being fully satisfied with my playing at the time — too many thoughts, not enough surrender. But in hindsight, that’s part of what makes it human. Like every recording, it’s a snapshot — a moment in time, with all its imperfections and energy.
I hope you enjoy watching it. I wish the band nothing but the best in whatever comes next.
🧢 GHOST Caps – Now Available
I had a small batch of embroidered caps made recently, something I personally really like.
The run is strictly limited (fewer than 20!) and ships worldwide.
They’re also part of a new project I’ve been working on quietly behind the scenes. I can’t say much more just yet, but the GHOST logo is part of that story.
What I can say is this: the caps turned out beautifully, are high quality, and should fit any head just right.
